Let's talk
finance

REAL School's mission is to inspire and empower the next generation to dream and build a beautiful world.

To deliver on this mission, we need to bring together a culturally and socio-economically diverse group of bright young minds. Our long term aim hence is to make our education available to all eligible applicants, however, we can't afford this just yet. We are constantly working on securing more sources for scholarships.

Until then, please see our current fees and tuition assistance opportunities below.

REAL School is a not-for-profit institution.

Tuition assistance

  • REAL School has a discretionary Tuition Assistance programme for 11-14-year-old students who would otherwise not be able to afford the school. These places are designed for students and families making a significant positive difference in the world with respect to social or environmental issues.

  • Tuition Assistance approvals are based on a family’s actual financial needs. Acceptance is based on the entire, unique financial picture of each family, taking into account a variety of factors. Each application will be assessed individually by a third party. Applications for continued assistance will be required to be filed annually.

  • REAL School also continues to have a limited number of students with up to 90% tuition assistance on a discretionary, invitation-only basis.

  • REAL School Budapest welcomes families from diverse backgrounds who support our mission, educational philosophy, approach and values. REAL School does not discriminate based on the basis of race, colour, national or ethnic origin, gender identity, gender expression, religion, sexual orientation or family structure, but reserves the right to purposefully build a diverse community.

  • Siblings are most welcome and receive a 10% discount for the first younger sibling, and 20% for all subsequent younger siblings.

  • The fees include tasty & healthy plant-based lunches and snacks.

  • All students 9 and above are expected to have a good quality notebook computer. Families are expected to cover transportation costs and accommodation for learning trips.

  • An additional fee applies to students who are provided with pull-out English as an Additional Language support during school hours.

  • Minimum enrolment is for one full school year. Any special enrolment agreement that is shorter than this carries a 25% tuition surcharge.

  • The Application fee is non-refundable. The Seat reservation fee is also non-refundable, and is payable upon contracting in case of new students to secure a place for them. In case of existing students, the Seat reservation fee is due by 30 April each year to secure a place for them in the next academic year. The Seat reservation fee however is applied to the first Tuition fee payment, it is not an additional cost.

  • The "One payment" discount applies if the full-year fees are paid by 15 June, or within 7 days of enrolment (whichever is later). Term payments are due 30 days before the start of a term. No discounts apply to corporate, institution or diplomatic corps payments.

  • Fees are set in Euros but may be paid in EUR, HUF, USD or GBP. Fees are subject to change. No cash payments are accepted.
