REAL School becomes Member of COBIS and is awarded Blue Circle for sustainability

We are delighted to share that REAL School has been awarded Compliance Member status under the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) Patron's Accreditation and Compliance system, and a Blue Circle award for its commitment to sustainability

Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation to dream and build a beautiful world.

This is clearly not a small undertaking. It requires bringing together great educators and wonderful human beings from around the world, attracting families who share the values, giving access to students who otherwise could not afford such upbringing, keeping creativity, innovation and sustainability at the heart of every action, and creating a beautiful learning environment. It also requires consistent, high-quality safeguarding, welfare and governance standards.

External benchmarking and validation of our work is key to continuous improvement. This is why we asked COBIS 18 months ago to be our first external validation partner. This premier global association supports schools on their development journey, based upon high standards, rigorous scrutiny and the best British and international practice.

We are delighted to share that today REAL School was awarded Compliance Member status under the COBIS Patron's Accreditation and Compliance scheme. This means we have been quality assured against a strict set of standards and recognised as offering a high-quality British education.

Wait, it gets better. As part of the compliance process, REAL School has also been awarded the prestigious Blue Circle Award for the School’s commitment to sustainability and to building a better world. Blue Circle is awarded for outstanding practice, on the understanding that these schools will be open to sharing areas of excellent practice with other COBIS schools in the network. And of course we’d be delighted to do just that.

REAL School was the first school in the world to have been qualified under the upgraded COBIS standards, as well as the first to have completed a virtual compliance visit, due to travel restrictions. We would like to thank COBIS for already adding tremendous value to the School’s development through the process, as well as for being adaptive to the constantly changing circumstances due to the pandemic - a core skill that our learners will absolutely need to possess.
