In the Room of my dreams project, the pupils imagine, design, and build their own dream rooms. This design challenge encapsulates the challenges in architectural design - intertwining wishes and technical and material preconditions. Even the smallest spatial design combines "strength", "utility" and "beauty" as Vitruvius put it. A shoebox makes a good start for this challenge, even if "You can't fit all your dreams into a shoebox." (quote from an Arkki pupil).
