The Recycled City project introduces the basic concepts of urban planning. The pupils design and build a fictional city considering different functions of buildings, transportation, public buildings and housing, and public spaces. While planning the city together, the pupils practice how to argue, defend their opinions, understand and value others' ideas, evaluate, review and compare alternative theories and opinions.
